Oud Fashion Talks (OFT) proudly announces the successful launch of its highly anticipated second edition. Following its ground breaking debut in Kuwait, the unique conference returned to Kuwait City in collaboration with esteemed partners, including Tamdeen Group, Gulf Bank, Maserati Kuwait, Yeprem Jewelry, Beidoun Group and ROF group.
OFT continues its mission to foster insightful discussions within the fashion and creative industries, focusing on essential topics such as nurturing a supportive infrastructure for young designers and analyzing the region's luxury market. The second edition of Oud Fashion Talks commenced with a dazzling Gala dinner at the newly inaugurated Grand Hyatt hotel. The event greeted guests with warm Kuwaiti hospitality, featuring captivating folklore performances and offering invaluable opportunities for networking and collaboration between local creatives and international experts. The dinner venue, designed by Faberge events in collaboration with the renowned "Floward" transformed into a whimsical garden adorned with vibrant summer flowers.
The subsequent day marked the official launch of Oud Fashion Talks' second edition. Distinguished panel discussions took center stage, featuring experts and influential figures who have significantly contributed to Kuwait's fashion scene and the wider region. These thought-provoking panels served as a bridge between Kuwait and the international realm of luxury, focusing on the transformation of the fashion landscape in the region and the evolving nature of luxury retail in the GCC.
OFT curated an impressive lineup of renowned international speakers and influential local figures who have played instrumental roles in shaping the luxury and fashion landscape. Esteemed personalities included Imran Amed, Founder and Chief Executive of The Business of Fashion (BoF); Mohammad A. Al Marzook, CEO of Tamdeen Group's Retail & Hospitality; Avijit Yadav, CEO of Tamdeen Mall Management; Mohammed Jaffar, Managing Partner of Faith Capital Holding; Rachad Tabiaat, Owner and CEO of AlOthman & Tabiat General Trading company; Moon Baz, Creator Partnerships Lead M.E. The event also showcased emerging local fashion designers through a captivating exhibition held at Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Center. The exhibition featured exquisite pieces from Phula, Alrramii, Oumaem Jewelry, Voy, Ascher Jewelry, Nada Al Ayoub, Hendi Paris, Emanmoon, Noor Abdul, House of Lin and Kochylia. This exhibition provided a vibrant space for conversations and networking opportunities with talented Kuwaiti designers, complemented by a modern-style coffee break at CAF Café.
On the final day of Oud Fashion Talks, engaging workshops were held for the younger generation seeking to expand their fashion knowledge and learn from industry leaders. The day began with "Instagram Fashion Lab," presented by Joanna Jamil of META, exploring the intricacies of leveraging Instagram for fashion success. Participants gained valuable insights and strategies for their creative pursuits. Maxim Sapozhnikov then facilitated an educational workshop, providing practical guidance and inspiration. Bazza Alzouman, a respected Kuwaiti Fashion designer, led a workshop sharing her experience in establishing successful local fashion brands. The day concluded with a captivating session by renowned photographer Patrick Sawaya, who shared his inspiring journey to a flourishing photography career. Sawaya's narrative motivated young creatives to pursue their dreams with dedication and determination.
