18 , March, 2007: Kuwait-Al Fanar Shopping Centre, celebrates Mother’s Day this year by organizing a greeting card drawing contest; making this year’s Mother’s Day gift, a very personal and special one.

Organized by Al Fanar Shopping Centre and sponsored by La Senza Girl, the Mother’s Day contest is a first of its kind to take place in a shopping center in Kuwait.  Children between the ages of 6-14 are competing to create a Mother’s Day greeting card, and can win vouchers of significant amounts that can be used in any store around Al Fanar, increasing the children’s gift budget.
 
A panel of three judges would then select three winners based on originality and creativity in three different age groups, (6-8, 9-11, and 12-14).  The top three prizes are 100KD, 75 KD and 50KD worth of vouchers.  Twelve other participants will be awarded with a nice set of coloring tools from Al Bader Stationary Shop.  All participants will receive a certificate, and their artwork will be displayed at Al Fanar Shopping Centre starting from Thursday, 15th March onwards.  Winners will be announced on Tuesday, 20th March, 2007, at 6pm at Al Fanar Shopping Centre.  As a shopping centre that values family and education, Al Fanar finds it imperative to encourage innovation and creativity among children and society and it strives to make this Mother’s Day an unforgettable experience.
